Scot Wilcox has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Scot started their career in 2012 as a Lab Technician at the BYU DNA Sequencing Center. In 2013, they worked as a Teaching Assistant for Engineering Graphics at Brigham Young University while also serving as a CAD Developer, where they implemented multi-user NX software.
In 2015, Scot joined FlexSim Software Products, Inc. as a Software Development Intern, where they developed new content for the FlexSim simulation software package. Scot gained experience in GUI programming, simulation object design, troubleshooting, bug fixing, and technical support.
Scot later joined Isogeometrx in 2016 as a Software Developer, where they were involved in designing and implementing a new geometry kernel for analysis-suitable geometry. Scot then worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Vectorworks, where they explored new research projects and implemented concave hull algorithms for Point Cloud.
In 2016, Scot also started a Master's degree in Computer Science at Brigham Young University, focusing on isogeometric analysis and scientific computing. Scot took advanced mathematics courses and conducted research under a professor.
Scot joined Vectorworks again in 2017 as an Associate Software Engineer, responsible for resolving critical issues for important customers. Scot administered the Jenkins continuous builds and tests and trained other engineers on writing automated tests. Currently, they are working as a Software Engineer at Coreform LLC since 2020.
