Varun Kohli

Varun Kohli, FAIA, currently serves as Principal and Director of Sustainability at Corgan since May 2023, overseeing firm-wide sustainability initiatives. Kohli has also been a Board Member of the Pokhrama Foundation since September 2021, supporting social causes through educational efforts in Pokhrama Village, Northern India. Previously, Kohli held positions such as Assistant Vice President of Real Property at Battery Park City Authority, Head of Sustainability & Analytics at BuroHappold Engineering, and Founding Principal at Merge Studio, an architectural design firm active in global projects. Additional experience includes serving as Principal & Sustainable Design Leader at HOK, and academic roles at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Harvard GSD. Educational credentials include a Master’s in Sustainable Environmental Design from the Architectural Association and a Bachelor’s in Architecture from The City College of New York.
