Joshua Van Straaten

Joshua Van Straaten has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering. Joshua started their career as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Navago Machine Components in 2018, where they gained hands-on experience in machining operations, welding, and various tasks such as broaching, tapping, and sandblasting.

In 2021, they worked as an Engineering Intern at Navago Machine Components CC, where they further honed their skills and gained more experience.

In 2022, they joined SRF FLEXIPAK SA as an Engineer In Training, where they contributed to the company's projects and initiatives.

Currently, they are employed as a Software Engineer at Corigine, where they are actively involved in software development and programming.

Joshua Van Straaten attended Pinetown Boys' High School from 2013 to 2017, where they obtained their National Senior Certificate in High School. Following this, from 2018 to 2021, they pursued a BSc in Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Cape Town, specializing in Mechanical and Mechanical Engineering. Joshua also obtained additional certifications, including membership in the Golden Key International Honour Society in January 2021 and membership in Toastmasters International in 2016.
