Chris Aakre

Chris Aakre is a Senior Software Engineer with extensive experience in various companies. Chris is currently working at Corista since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Diamanti from 2022 to 2023. From 2020 to 2023, they worked at Blue Sunrise Consulting as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were part of a small, fast-paced team that launched a turnkey Governance, Risk, and Compliance solution for a large US financial institution. Their work involved designing and implementing highly-scalable solutions using Angular, GraphQL, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Kafka, Oracle DB, Postgres, Kubernetes, and S3 in a Google Cloud deployment.

Chris contributed to the design and implementation of various features and applications, including Customer Service Center, an eCommerce customer support application, and ATG Knowledge, a knowledge management system. Chris also worked on enterprise app server performance tuning and scalability.

Prior to that, Chris worked at Primus Knowledge Solutions as a Chief Software Architect from 2000 to 2004. Chris led a team responsible for architecting a J2EE-based self-service knowledge portal and developed a peer-to-peer replication service for replicating knowledge databases. Chris also redesigned eServer, a customer support knowledge base product.

Chris started their career at Symbologic LLC as a Software Engineer in 1991, where they wrote test cases and developed a new version of Adept, a visual-based expert system. Chris also worked as a Software Test Engineer at Summation Software in 1990 and GE Aerospace in 1989. Chris began their career as a Software Engineer at IBM in 1988.
