Julie Eisenstat has extensive work experience in compliance roles within the financial industry. Julie most recently served as the Managing Director and Chief Compliance Officer at Cormark Securities since June 2018. Prior to that, Julie held various senior compliance positions, including Chief Compliance Officer and Senior Vice President at Wells Fargo from January 2017 to May 2018, and Principal at JE Compliance Services from December 2015 to January 2017. Julie also worked as the Chief Compliance Officer and Managing Director at National Bank Financial from July 2010 to December 2014, and as the Chief Compliance Officer and Managing Director at RBC Capital Markets from February 2008 to May 2010. Julie's earlier experiences include roles as Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at Westwind Partners Inc., Vice President of Corporate and Institutional Compliance at HSBC, and Senior Investigator at the Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments (OBSI). Julie started their career as the Chief Compliance Officer and Director at Taurus Capital Markets Ltd. and later served as Vice President of Compliance at CIBC Wood Gundy.
Julie Eisenstat has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Queen's University, which they obtained in 1991. Julie also has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from York University, which they obtained in 1987. In addition to their degrees, they have obtained various certifications related to banking, compliance, securities, and management throughout their career. Some of these certifications include Bank Crime Prevention and Investigation Officer from the Canadian Bankers Association in 2009, Chief Compliance Officers Qualifying Examination from the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI) in 2008, and Certified Business Resiliency Management (BC-201) from Sentryx in 2007.
