Chris Bertole

Chris Bertole has over 20 years of work experience in the field of product and applications development, catalyst development, and research. Chris is currently a Senior Director of Product and Applications Development at Cormetech, a position they have held since September 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Product and Applications Development from September 2017 to September 2022. Chris also held the position of Director of Catalyst Development from 2015 to 2017, Catalyst Development Manager from 2011 to 2015, Supervisor of Catalyst Development from 2008 to 2011, and Lead Catalyst Development Engineer from 2003 to 2008, all at Cormetech. Before joining Cormetech, Chris worked as a Research Scientist at H Power Canada from 2001 to 2002.

Chris Bertole has a strong education background in Chemical Engineering. Chris completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Toronto from 1991 to 1995. Chris then pursued further studies in the same field and obtained a Master of Applied Science (M.A.Sc.) degree from the University of Toronto between 1995 and 1997. Chris went on to complete their academic journey with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemical Engineering, again from the University of Toronto, from 1998 to 2002.

Additionally, Chris Bertole has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional development. In 2011, they completed the Technical Leadership Certificate offered by the University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Engineering Professional Development. The following year, in 2012, they obtained the Fundamentals of Management Certificate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Professional and Executive Development. Furthermore, they participated in the Leadership Beyond Management Course in 2015, although the specific institution and year of completion are not provided.
