Chris DiFrancesco has a strong work experience in the field of ceramics and innovation strategy. Chris started their career at Corning Incorporated as an Engineer and later became a Senior Engineer and Engineering Supervisor in ceramics. In 1991, they joined Cormetech as a Leader in Laboratory and Process Engineering, where they played a key role in the start-up team and technology transfer from parent companies. Chris then progressed to roles such as Product Development Manager, Vice President, and CTO. From 2013 to 2022, Chris held various positions at Cormetech, including Senior Vice President, COO, and Executive Vice President. In these roles, they were responsible for R&D leadership, implementing innovation strategies, and overseeing manufacturing operations, laboratories, and quality.
Chris DiFrancesco earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, which they attended from 1981 to 1985. Later, from 2010 to 2015, they pursued an Advanced Certificate for Executives in Management, Innovation, and Technology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
