Akif Saglam has over 14 years of experience in the software engineering industry. In 2021, they are the Systems SW Manager at Cornami, Inc. Prior to this, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Recogni, where they developed a PCIe root-port driver in Zephyr OS for a 64-bit RISC-V system processor and MMU support (SV39) for RISCV in Zephyr. From 2019 to 2020, they were a Sr. Software Engineer at Cornami, Inc., where they developed C/C++ based user space library to program RISC-V and systolic array based AI engine and Linux host drivers for IP blocks (PCIe/system DMA). From 2018 to 2019, they were a Principal System Software Engineer at Wave Computing (AI startup), where they implemented x86 Linux host user space drivers and runtime (RT) software modules for neural network graph execution for video analytics applications. From 2016 to 2018, they were a Sr. Software Applications Engineer (FAE) at Fingerprint Cards, where they successfully resolved software challenges to get fingerprint sensor up and running on mobile devices. From 2014 to 2016, they were a Linux Kernel Development Engineer at Qeexo, where they developed Linux Kernel driver code to feed sensor data to a classification engine in user space. From 2013 to 2014, they were a SW Applications Engineer at InvenSense, Inc., where they developed embedded code to make InvenSense MEMS sensor solutions work on various MCU sensor hubs. From 2011 to 2013, they were a Principal Applications Engineer at ST-Ericsson, where they contributed to development, integration, testing, and sales activities of cellular chipset solutions. In 2011, they were a Consultant at Qualcomm, where they supported RIM to port QNX operating system on Qualcomm\u2019s 8960 and 8660 Application processors. From 2007 to 2011, they were a Sr. Staff Engineer - Software Systems at Broadcom, where they debugged, troubleshot, tested, integrated, and delivered UMTS 3G/2.5G mobile phone/cellular chipset solution software.

Akif Saglam obtained a B.S. in Electronics and Telecommunications from Istanbul Technical University. Akif then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Engineering (EE) from the University of Southern California, which they are still currently enrolled in. Additionally, they are also pursuing a Master of Science (M.S.) in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Southern California.
