Sreesa Akella, PhD has worked in a variety of roles in the technology industry since 2000. From 2000 to 2001, they worked as an Intern in FPGA Design at Tokyo Electron Device. From 2001 to 2002, they worked as an HDL Design Tutor at Knowledge Edge K.K. From 2002 to 2005, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Reconfigurable Computing Laboratory at the University of South Carolina. During this time, from 2005 to 2006, they also worked as an Advanced Researcher at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. From 2006 to 2010, they worked as a Design Engineer and then Design Engineer II at Standard Microsystems Corporation (SMSC). From 2010 to 2021, they worked at Broadcom Inc. as a Principal IC Design Engineer and Senior Staff Scientist. In 2021, they began working as a Principal ASIC Engineer at Cornelis Networks.

Sreesa Akella, PhD, obtained a Machine Learning Certificate Program from Cornell University in 2020. Prior to that, they completed a PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of South Carolina between 2003 and 2006. Sreesa also obtained an MS in Computer Engineering from the University of South Carolina between 1999 and 2003, and a BE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Andhra University between 1994 and 1998.
