Leilani Burke is a Mechanical Engineering student at Cornell University, expected to graduate in May 2025. Currently serving as an AstroTech Subteam Member at Cornell Mars Rover, Leilani is engaged in developing a multi-scoop collection system and has successfully integrated various systems within the team. As a Staff Photographer for the Cornell Daily Sun, Leilani specializes in sports, portrait, and landscape photography, with proficiency in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. Previous internships include a mechanical engineering role at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where Leilani contributed to the Mars Sample Return mission, and an engineering internship at Motiv Space Systems, Inc., focusing on the Distributed Extreme Environments Drive System. In addition, Leilani has held leadership roles as Club President and Vice President of Chromatic at Cornell since August 2021.
