Deniz Bölöni-Turgut is an undergraduate at Cornell University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Currently serving as an NLP Research Assistant in Dr. Claire Cardie's lab at Cornell Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science, Deniz is also the Education Chair for Cornell Data Science, managing the course INFO 1998: Intro to Machine Learning. Notable projects include serving as Technical Lead for MathSearch, a machine learning web application, while also holding the position of Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University, focusing on NLP techniques in decompilation. Prior experience includes co-founding Study City, a nonprofit providing free tutoring services for K-12 students.
