Irina Zhankov

Irina Zhankov is a seasoned design and user experience professional with extensive experience in both academic and freelance environments. Currently serving as Manager of Design & User Experience and Lead Web Designer at Cornell University since September 2004, Irina leads the Integrated Web Services design team, overseeing the design, development, and art direction of multiple projects. Prior experience includes Creative Director at Z-Graphics Design Studio from 1996 to September 2019, where Irina managed a freelance design studio catering to a diverse clientele across the US and Europe. Irina's early career featured roles as a Graphic Designer at Tonap, Inc. in Moscow, specializing in textile design and innovative inflated toy concepts, and at the Moscow Institute of Medical Education, focusing on medical publications and propaganda materials. Educational background includes a degree from Moscow State University of Design and Technology, completed in 1984.
