Madeline Pollock

Madeline Pollock is a dedicated Mechanical Engineering PhD student at Cornell University, with a robust background in education and community engagement. Active since 2019 as the creator and curriculum designer for STEAM 4 Girls, Pollock has developed a two-year curriculum aimed at increasing minority women's representation in STEM, alongside successful partnerships with organizations such as the Salvation Army and Latino Community Services. Previous experience includes serving as a Teaching Assistant at Wake Forest University, tutoring physics for the Athletics Department, and conducting orthopedic research at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. Early in her career, Pollock showcased talent in the performing arts as a featured performer in the social action opera "Stinney: an American Execution." Pollock's academic journey began at Forsyth Country Day School and continued with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Wake Forest University before pursuing a PhD at Cornell University.
