Mark Wilde

Associate Professor

Mark M. Wilde is an Associate Professor at Cornell University in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, where they also serve as a Fields Member in the School of Applied and Engineering Physics and the Department of Computer Science. They previously held the position of Associate Professor of Physics at Louisiana State University from 2018 to 2022. Wilde's early career included roles as a Postdoctoral Fellow at McGill University and as a Research Assistant at the University of Southern California, where they developed various methods in quantum information science. They have published over 200 research articles and authored the textbook "Quantum Information Theory." Wilde's research interests encompass quantum communication, computation, and optics as they relate to quantum information.
