Shiying Zhang

Shiying Zhang is a seasoned researcher with extensive experience in microbiology and biotechnology. Currently serving as a Senior Research Associate at Cornell University since March 2013, Shiying Zhang focuses on gut microbiota, inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), and E. coli related to colon cancer. Previously, Shiying Zhang worked at Boyce Thompson Institute from January 2010 to March 2013 as an Insect Cell Biotechnologist, handling cell line development, method development, and virus production. Additionally, Shiying Zhang was a Sr. Scientist at Environmental Associates, Ltd from September 2003 to August 2007, specializing in enterovirus detection, molecular typing, and laboratory management. Shiying Zhang earned a Ph.D. in Plant Biology from Cornell University, completing the degree between 1990 and 1994.
