Peter Richards (ACMA) has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies.
Peter started their career as a Database Analyst/Administrator at Alliance and Leicester in 2004 and worked there until 2005.
Peter then joined Vodafone in 2005 and held various roles such as Management Information Analyst, Financial Accountant, Senior Financial Analyst, and eventually became the FP&A Finance Manager. In these roles, they provided commercial insight, managed financial forecasts, and supported the leadership team in achieving strategic targets.
After leaving Vodafone, Peter joined Tesco Mobile in 2013 and worked as a Customer Retention Commercial Finance Manager, Commercial Finance Manager, and eventually became the Head of Pay Monthly Commercial Finance. In these roles, they were responsible for managing the Pay Monthly Commercial P&L, creating and maintaining financial controls, and providing key commercial insight to support business objectives.
In 2020, Peter joined Dunelm as the Head of Business Intelligence and Performance Analytics, where they led the Business Intelligence and Performance Analytics teams. Their responsibilities included preparing the Business Performance narrative, understanding key drivers, and promoting a data-led decision-making culture.
Most recently, in 2022, Peter started working at Cornerstone (CTIL) as the Head of Commercial Finance.
Overall, Peter has amassed a solid background in commercial finance, financial analysis, and business intelligence throughout their career.
Peter Richards (ACMA) completed their Bachelor of Engineering Honours degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Leeds, from 1999 to 2002. Additionally, they obtained the ACMA/CGMA certification as a Chartered Management Accountant from CIMA, with first-time passes from September 2007 to September 2009, and they became qualified in September 2011. The exact month and year of obtaining this certification are not specified.
