Shelly Jones

Shelly Jones is an experienced educator with a strong background in teaching language arts and writing at various grade levels. Currently a 1st grade teacher and Middle School ELA Teacher at Cornerstone Charter Schools since August 2014, Shelly previously taught 7th and 8th Grade ELA at the Academy of Southfield and served as a Creative Writing Teacher at Plymouth Educational Center. Early teaching experiences include a Middle School Writing Teacher position at Pontiac Academy for Excellence, a long-term building substitute role at Advantage Staffing, and a student teacher position at Schuchard Elementary School. Shelly holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Oakland University as well as a Master of Arts in Reading and Language Arts from the same institution.
