Shawn Kerns

Shawn Kerns serves as the Managing Partner of Advisory Services at Cornerstone Engineering, Inc. since April 2025. Previously, Shawn held several key leadership roles at California Resources Corporation, including Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President for both Operations and Engineering and Corporate Development, from July 2014 to July 2023. Prior to this, Shawn spent over two decades at Oxy, where positions included President & General Manager of California Heavy Oil and Asset Development Manager, overseeing significant oil production and technical operations. Shawn's technical career began with roles as a Reservoir Engineer and Operations Engineer, managing extensive wellbore operations and reservoir development. Shawn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
