Dana Afshar, P.Eng, PMP®, is a seasoned project manager and engineer with extensive experience in various engineering roles across multiple companies. Currently serving as a Project Manager at Cornerstone Engineering Ltd. since March 2023, Dana previously held positions as Project Engineer at Equinox Engineering Ltd. and Atlas BA Consulting Inc., contributing to significant projects like ATCO Salt Cavern. Earlier roles included Process Lead/Project Engineer at Worley, specializing in major projects such as the Marathon Garyville Refinery and Horizon Tank Farm Expansion. Dana's career began as a Process Engineer at SNC-Lavalin, participating in the MEG Energy Christina Lake Regional Project. Dana holds a Graduate program certificate from the Schulich School of Engineering, University of Calgary, and a Bachelor's Degree from Islamic Azad University.

Cornerstone is the foundation for your Oil and Gas projects. From conception to startup, our project capabilities range from large processing plants to single well tie-ins. Rick Jacobsen and Ron Grover began Cornerstone in 2008 with the goal of helping oil and gas companies get their product to market by finding the ideal intersection between cost, quality, and schedule on projects. This model is the guiding principle for each project that we undertake, and we value communication and customer service to ensure that we comprehend each client's unique needs. As a result, we've managed to grow throughout the years. Cornerstone has grown to our present size of over 185 people. Cornerstone can offer complete civil, electrical, instrumentation, automation, process, and drafting design services for all sizes of oil and gas projects. The principals at Cornerstone have a unique balance of experience with engineering, fabrication, and producing companies, and have experience working throughout Western Canada and Internationally.
