Rachel van Ellenberg is an experienced professional with a diverse background in engineering, customer service, campaign support, public relations, and research. Currently serving as an Engineering Assistant at Cornerstone Engineering Ltd. since January 2019, Rachel provides vital support for engineering projects in the oil and natural gas sector through document control and project administration. Rachel also maintains a role as a Customer Service Specialist at Chop Steakhouse & Bar since March 2017 and previously contributed as a Campaign Specialist at Alberta Blue Strategies. Earlier experience includes an internship with International Justice Mission and a position as a Research Assistant at the University of Lethbridge. Rachel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Government from The University of Lethbridge and completed the Indigenous Canada Course at the University of Alberta in 2022.

Rick Jacobsen and Ron Grover began Cornerstone in 2008 with the goal of helping oil and gas companies get their product to market by finding the ideal intersection between cost, quality, and schedule on projects. This model is the guiding principle for each project that we undertake, and we value communication and customer service to ensure that we comprehend each client's unique needs. As a result, we've managed to grow throughout the years. Cornerstone has grown to our present size of over 185 people. Cornerstone can offer complete civil, electrical, instrumentation, automation, process, and drafting design services for all sizes of oil and gas projects. The principals at Cornerstone have a unique balance of experience with engineering, fabrication, and producing companies, and have experience working throughout Western Canada and Internationally.
