Karen Kelly joined Cornerstone’s Kentucky office after serving more than nine years as the district director to the chairman of the U.S. House Appropriations Committee, Rep. Hal Rogers (R-KY). She has experience facilitating the execution of federal projects, handling communication with constituents and state and local officials and coordinating events and grassroots advocacy.
Prior to working as district director, Karen helped Rep. Rogers launch Operation UNITE, a nonprofit with the mission of preventing abuse of drugs and facilitating recovery. She began the National Rx and Illicit Drug Abuse Summit – the nation’s largest collaboration of advocates, law enforcement professionals and treatment specialists to focus on the drug abuse epidemic.
Karen also served as president and CEO of Eastern KY PRIDE (Personal Responsibility In a Desirable Environment) where she led the charge to provide water and wastewater infrastructure and rallied thousands of volunteers across a 42-county region.
She has also served as the secretary of the Republican Party of Kentucky since 2018. Karen received her bachelor’s degree in business management and a minor in marketing from Union College.
