Craig Laundy

Co-Chairman of Advisory Board at Cornerstone Group

Craig Laundy brings a wealth of experience in politics and business to his role as Co-Chairman at Cornerstone Group Australia.

Elected to the Federal parliament in 2013 after winning the long held marginal ALP seat of Reid in Sydney’s inner west, he then increased his margin at the 2016 election.

In his first term as part of the Abbott government, Craig was Assistant Minister for Multicultural Affairs, Chair of the House Economics Committee and a member of the select committee for Public Accounts and Audit.

During his second term in government under Prime Minister Turnbull, Craig was Minister for Small and Family Business, Industrial Relations & Deregulation and Assistant Minister for Industry Innovation and Science.

Craig’s recent political experience as a senior Liberal Party MP and Minister have given him a deep understanding of the inner workings of government policy and decision making and valuable insight into current government thinking and priorities.

Craig was also active in overseeing the growth of his family business (Laundy Hotel Group) from 1992 until 2012 before re-joining the family business in 2018. During his time at Laundy Hotel Group, Craig has held numerous positions including GM of operations.

He holds a Bachelor of Economics degree majoring in Economics and Finance from UNSW.
