Unni Nair

Unni Nair has a strong background in technology and engineering with experience in various leadership positions. They began their career at ANERT as an Embedded Developer, where they designed and developed a low-cost microprocessor-based Wind Monitoring System. They also conducted field trials to compare its performance with expensive imported models.

In 1993, Unni joined Cornet Technology, Inc. as a Software Engineer/ Senior Software Engineer. They quickly took on additional responsibilities and established a Software Engineering team. Their work involved developing real-time embedded software for RISC processors and microcontrollers.

Unni continued to progress within Cornet Technology, holding the position of Director of Software Engineering from 2001 to 2010. In this role, they led a team of software engineers, testers, and developers, managing the department's budget and day-to-day operations.

From 2010 until the present, Unni served as Vice President of Engineering at Cornet Technology. They were responsible for leading the Engineering and Systems Engineering departments, managing a technical workforce and workflow, and ensuring the quality and timeliness of product development and support.

Additionally, Unni served as Chief Technology Officer at Cornet Technology, starting in 2021. In this role, they focused on creating new business opportunities in computing and sensor integration for surveillance and force protection. They also played a key role in identifying, qualifying, and negotiating with prospective partners to establish strategic relationships.

Unni's work experience demonstrates their expertise in technology, leadership, and business development, making them a valuable asset in the industry.

Unni Nair completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Kumaraguru College of Technology from 1985 to 1989. Later, from 1992 to 1994, they pursued a master's degree in Computer Engineering and obtained a Master of Science (MS) from George Mason University.
