Brian Bates

Brian Bates has a extensive work experience in the banking industry. Brian started their career at Havelock Bank in 1990 as an Operations Officer and Assistant Cashier, where they handled various tasks including operations, merchant credit card services, wire transfers, and bank reconciliations. In 1994, Havelock Bank was acquired by Pinnacle Bank, and Brian continued their role as an Operations Officer and Assistant Cashier until 2002. During this time, they also took on additional responsibilities such as being a Y2K coordinator, IT support, and internal auditor. In 2002, Brian joined Pinnacle Data Services Inc as a Technical Support Officer for a few months before moving on to Union Bank & Trust, where they became an Assistant Vice President until 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President and Audit Manager at Cornhusker Bank, starting from July 2021.

Brian Bates holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Mathematics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, which they obtained between the years 1988 and 1993. In 2010, they also completed a certification as a Certified Financial Services Auditor at the Institute of Internal Auditors. Additionally, in 2020, they acquired another certification as a Certified Financial Services Auditor from the same institution.
