Philip Brown

Philip Brown is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in materials science and coatings, currently serving as the Manager of Functional Coatings at Corning Incorporated since January 2017. Prior roles at Corning include Research Associate, Senior Research Scientist, and Research Scientist. Prior to this, Philip was a Postdoctoral Research Scholar at The Ohio State University, where research focused on creating multifunctional nanoparticle-polymer surfaces with water and oil repellency. Philip also worked as a Postgraduate Research Associate at Durham University, where the doctoral thesis concentrated on the wetting dynamics of liquids on surface-treated polymeric materials. Philip holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Durham University, as well as an MChem in Chemistry from the same institution.
