Marese Carstens

Marese Carstens has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting. Marese started their career as a Trainee Accountant at SDK Chartered Accountants (SA) in 2012, where they managed client portfolios and handled compliance issues with SARS. Marese also prepared annual financial statements for various entities. In 2015, Marese served as a Professional Accountant (Accounting Manager) at SDK Chartered Accountants (SA), where they managed trainee accountants, reviewed accounting work and financial statements, and controlled cash flow to assist with business decisions.

In 2016, they joined Odllac Financial Services as a Professional Accountant (Manager), where they continued to manage client portfolios and handle compliance and reporting requirements.

Since 2019, Marese has been working at Corpag. Marese initially joined as an Accounting Manager and held this position until 2020. In 2021, they were promoted to Senior Finance Manager before assuming their current role as Group Controller.

Marese Carstens obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Management Accounting from the University of Stellenbosch from 2009 to 2011. In 2018 to 2020, Marese pursued an Advanced Online Certificate in IFRS for SMEs at Probeta Training, specializing in Accounting. Furthermore, in 2015 to 2016, Marese completed an Advanced course in Taxation at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika. Prior to these higher education experiences, Marese attended Hopefield High School from 2003 to 2008. No specific degree or field of study is specified for the high school education.
