Harjit Basra

Harjit Basra has an extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Harjit is currently serving as the SVP of Markets, Operations, and Treasury at Corpay since November 2021. Prior to this, from 2017 to 2021, Harjit held the position of Vice President and Head of Derivatives Trading at Cambridge Global Payments.

Before joining Cambridge Global Payments, Harjit worked at Scotiabank for almost two decades, starting in 1999. During their time there, they served as the Director and Head of FX Options Trading until 2016.

In 1998, Harjit gained experience as a Summer Intern at TD Securities. Harjit'scareer began in 1994 at Motorola Canada Ltd, where they worked as a Design Engineer until 1998.

Throughout their career, Harjit Basra has gained expertise in finance, trading, and engineering, making him a well-rounded professional with a diverse skill set.

Harjit Basra obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto, which they completed between 1990 and 1994. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the Schulich School of Business at York University, completing it from 1996 to 1999. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute in June 2020. Moreover, they hold the Professional Engineer of Ontario certification from Professional Engineers Ontario, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
