Akhilesh Thakur

Akhilesh Thakur is the national head of risk advisory at Corporate Catalyst India. Akhilesh has over 17 years of experience in risk management and consulting.

Akhilesh started their career as a consultant at Ernst & Young in January 2005. Akhilesh then moved to Aneja Associates as an assistant manager in January 2003. In October 2006, they joined Protiviti as a senior manager. Akhilesh was promoted to director in December 2013 and managing director in April 2015. Akhilesh left Protiviti in September 2017 to join Mahajan & Aibara as a partner. In December 2019, they joined Primerisk Advisory Services as a partner. Akhilesh left Primerisk in September 2020 and joined Baker Tilly DHC as a senior partner. Akhilesh is currently the deputy national leader of risk advisory services at Baker Tilly DHC.

Akhilesh Thakur is a Chartered Accountant and has studied accounting and business/management at The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Akhilesh also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavans Haji Rashid Jaffer College of Commerce Bhavans College Munshi Nagar Andheri West Mumbai 400 058, specializing in accounting and finance. In addition, they are certified as a Certified Internal Auditor from the Institute of Internal Auditor and as a Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
