Kamath is a qualified Chartered Accountant (FCA). He has chaired various regional committees and has actively participated in functioning of the Southern India Regional Council of ICAI.
As a member of the Lions Club of Cochin Greater, Ernakulam, Kamath has actively participated in social upliftment programmes. He has also served as the Secretary of the GSB Maha Sabha – Kesava Grammam – where he conducted social programmes for benefit of the underprivileged.
