Josh Verni

Josh brings over 15 years of experience to his clients, providing accounting, advisory, and transaction services to public and private companies of all sizes across various industries, including biotech, pharmaceutical, software and retail. With CFGI, Josh has served in several interim controller and CFO roles.

Josh is a subject matter expert in debt and equity financings and has extensive experience in business combinations, derivatives, equity-linked instruments and stock-based compensation. He has assisted his clients and led engagement teams through complex transactions including acquisitions, carve-outs, initial public offerings, reverse mergers, debt and equity issuances, reorganizations, and other complex transactions. Additionally, Josh is engaged in the firm’s leadership on technical accounting support for clients and the firm’s NASBA certified learning and education program.

Josh began his career in the assurance practice at PwC where he worked primarily on public life sciences clients. Josh is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of New York and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management.
