Tim Vipond

Tim Vipond, FMVA®, serves as the Board Chair, Founder, President, and CEO of the Corporate Finance Institute® (CFI) since January 2016. In March 2022, Tim founded Vipond Ventures Inc. and previously held the position of Executive Director at Macabacus Inc. from March 2021 to March 2022. Tim's extensive corporate finance experience includes roles as Vice President of Corporate Finance at SHOES.COM, Strategy & Corporate Development Analyst at Newmont Corporation, and Investment Management at ScotiaMcLeod. Earlier in the career, Tim served as an Investment Banking Analyst at CIBC Capital Markets, an equity research intern at RBC Global Asset Management, and a sales & trading intern at Scotiabank. Educationally, Tim obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College, an MBA from UBC Sauder School of Business, and a Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA)® certification from CFI.
