Daniël Smidts

Daniël Smidts has extensive work experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on governance, risk, and compliance. Daniël has held various roles at EY, starting with an internship in 2000 and progressing to Associate Partner in Risk Advisory Services. In these roles, they specialized in providing advisory and transformation services to financial organizations, leading teams and implementing risk technology solutions. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as a Partner at Transcendent Group, leading governance, risk, and compliance advisory for financial services. Daniël then moved to EY as an Associate Partner, leading the Non-Financial Risk Advisory team in Norway, focusing on developing innovative tech solutions for the financial services industry. Currently, they serve as the Director GPRC for Financial Services Institutions at Corporater, where they are responsible for driving the success of the company's G(P)RC technology solutions for financial services clients.

Daniël Smidts completed their Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification from 2009 to 2010. Prior to that, from 1997 to 2002, they attended Inholland University of Applied Sciences, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business/Managerial Economics. During the same period, they also pursued studies in Auditing RA (part.) at Inholland University of Applied Sciences.
