Jeffery Alex James Johnson, Ph.D., serves as Chief Strategy Officer and Director of Strategic Initiatives at Corporation to Develop Communities of Tampa, Inc. since January 2023, while also holding the position of Lieutenant and United States Navy Chaplain in the U.S. Navy Reserve since September 2022. A committed leader in community development, Jeffery has been the Senior Pastor at Connections Community Church since December 2011, focusing on initiatives supporting black and brown students. Additionally, Jeffery has provided executive coaching through JAJJ Executive Coaching since March 2014, previously held leadership roles such as Director of Support Services at United Way Suncoast, and served as a Student Intervention Specialist at Village of Excellence Academy. Educational achievements include a BA in Church Ministry, two PhDs in Divinity/Ministry and Christian Studies, and a Master's degree in Divinity/Ministry, all from various institutions including Warner University and Anderson University.
