Veena Desai, PMP

Veena Desai has a diverse work experience starting from their role as an Intern at MBMS in 2008, where they performed analysis, coding, and application tests. Veena then moved on to Patni Computer Systems in 2005 as a Software Engineer, taking on responsibilities as a Team Leader and Configuration and Defect Manager. Veena gained experience with the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and worked closely with SMEs for UAT and requirement gathering. Veena then joined Synacor in 2009, initially as a Senior QA Engineer and later transitioning into the role of a Project Manager. Here, they gained expertise in project management and demonstrated proficiency in Agile and Waterfall models of SDLC. In 2012, Veena joined Corra as a Senior Project Manager, where they are currently employed.

Veena Desai, PMP holds a Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems and Services, which was obtained from the University at Buffalo School of Management, The State University of New York from 2007 to 2008. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science at the University of Mumbai from 2000 to 2004.

In addition to their educational background, Veena also holds several certifications. These include the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification obtained from the Project Management Institute in July 2014, and the Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM) certification obtained from the Scrum Alliance in May 2019.

Veena has also pursued additional certifications in Agile methodologies. Veena has obtained certifications in Agile Team Coach from ICAgile, as well as certifications in Agile Team Facilitation and Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance.
