Alexander Yap, P.Eng

Alexander Yap, P.Eng has over 14 years of work experience in various engineering roles. Alexander is currently working as a Project Engineer at Corrosion Service Company Limited since October 2021. Previously, they worked as a Project Manager at KenWave Solutions Inc. from January 2020 to May 2020, where they successfully managed pipeline condition assessment projects and controlled the financials for a project with revenue of $2M.

Prior to that, Alexander worked at Pure Technologies Ltd. for almost 8 years. Alexander served as a Project Manager from January 2017 to April 2020, where they planned and delivered start to finish condition assessment inspections for municipal/industrial pipelines. Alexander was responsible for selecting and utilizing suitable equipment/technologies for estimating expected lifespans and making recommendations on operating procedures. Before becoming a Project Manager, they worked as a Project Engineer from January 2012 to January 2017 at Pure Technologies Ltd., where they served as the inspection technical lead and successfully planned and executed field activities for condition assessments using various inspection tools.

Alexander's earlier work experience includes working as a Field Operations Technician at Fugro from September 2007 to January 2012. In this role, they served as the onsite technical lead for road and highway pavement inspection, utilizing various pavement condition assessment technologies and preparing daily and weekly reports. Overall, Alexander Yap, P.Eng has a strong background in project management, pipeline condition assessment, and technical fieldwork.

Alexander Yap, P.Eng has a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical Engineering from Birmingham City University, which was completed before 2006. Alexander then pursued further education and obtained another Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical Engineering from Ryerson University, which they completed between 2010 and 2012. Additionally, they obtained the Professional Engineer (P.Eng) certification from Professional Engineers Ontario in May 2016.
