Brenden Tanchuk has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Brenden began their career as an Environmental Scientist at Thurber Engineering Ltd. in 2007. In 2008, they worked as an Engineering Intern at Hexion Inc. Brenden then joined Agrium as a Process Engineering Co-op Student in 2009. From 2010 to 2014, they worked as a Research Associate at the University of Alberta. In 2015, they moved to Corrosion Service Company Limited, where they held various roles including System Specialist, Junior Team Lead, and currently, Team Lead II, Engineering.
Brenden Tanchuk completed their education in the field of Chemical Engineering. Brenden obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree from the University of Alberta, where they studied from 2005 to 2010. After that, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Chemical Engineering from the same institution, graduating in 2013.
In addition to their formal education, Brenden Tanchuk has obtained several certifications. In 2017, they became a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) through The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA). Brenden went on to earn the same certification from the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) in 2018, Engineers and Geoscientists BC in 2018, Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba in 2019, and the Northwest Territories and Nunavut Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists (NAPEG) in 2022.
Furthermore, Brenden Tanchuk acquired the NACE CP 3 - Cathodic Protection Technologist certification from NACE International in 2019 and became a NACE CP4 Cathodic Protection Certified Specialist through the AMPP: Association for Materials Protection and Performance in 2023.
