Geoff Lyon

Geoff Lyon has a diverse and extensive work experience. Geoff is currently the SVP & GM DIY Business at Corsair since November 2020. Prior to that, they served as a Member of the Board of Advisors at Quantum Silicon Inc. from December 2019, where they contributed to the development of a groundbreaking technology for microprocessors.

Geoff Lyon also has experience as a Chief Executive Officer at Geoff Lyon Consulting Services since February 2019 and as a Business Mentor at Zone Startups Calgary from November 2019 to May 2022.

Geoff held the position of Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Cognitive Systems Corp. from April 2020 to November 2020.

Before these roles, Lyon was the CEO & CTO at CoolIT Systems Inc. from July 2005 to February 2019. During this time, they played a pivotal role in transforming the company into a global leader in the industry. Additionally, they were recognized for their contributions to growth, innovation, and job creation in the Calgary tech community.

Lyon also held positions such as VP Business Development at 5 by 5 Software from December 2004 to July 2005, Director of Remote Control Sales AMR at Logitech from May 2004 to December 2004, and Executive VP Sales and Marketing at Harmony Remote from May 2001 to May 2004. In these roles, they played a key role in the success and growth of the companies.

Furthermore, Lyon has experience as the Director of Sales and North American Operations at Surgical Navigation Specialists, Inc. from September 1998 to May 2001. Geoff was involved in the development of a hardware and software platform aimed at improving surgical efficacy through digital navigation technology.

Geoff Lyon pursued their undergraduate education from 1989 to 1992 at Carleton University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree with a specialization in Aerospace. Additionally, in October 2019, they obtained a certification in "Introduction to the Internet of Things and Embedded Systems" from UC Irvine.
