Rebecca Shankar has a diverse work experience in the field of graphic design and art instruction. Rebecca started their career as an Assistant Production Manager/Production Artist at Phoenix New Times in 2008 and worked there until 2012. Rebecca then freelanced as a Graphic Designer at P.B. Bell from 2013 to 2014. In 2016, they became an Art Instructor at Red Mountain High School and continued until 2017. Rebecca then worked as a Graphic Designer at W.D. Promotion from 2017 to 2018. Rebecca also served as a Lead Designer at Social Ally Media from 2018 to 2019. Rebecca later joined Facebook as a Production Artist in 2019 and worked there until 2020. Currently, Rebecca is employed as a Graphic Designer at Corsair starting from November 2020, with no specified end date.

Rebecca Shankar completed their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Graphic Design at Arizona State University from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained an Associates in Applied Science in Digital Arts from Mesa Community College, where they studied from 2006 to 2011.

Rebecca has also obtained several certifications to enhance their skills. In 2022, they earned the Google UX Design certificate from Google and Coursera. Rebecca also completed certifications in Figma for UX Design, UX Design: 2 Analyzing User Data, Wacom Essential Training, Sketch: Working with Developers, Adobe Illustrator: Variable Data, InDesign: Data Merge and Database Publishing, and UX Design: 1 Overview, all from LinkedIn. Additionally, in 2016, they obtained certifications in Career & Technical Education: Industrial and Emerging Technologies and Secondary Education from the Arizona Department of Education.
