Thanos Polimeridis

Athanasios Polimeridis serves as the Chief Scientific Officer and Vice President of R&D at Corsmed since February 2021. Previously, Athanasios held the role of Vice President of Scientific Computing at Q Bio from September 2016 to December 2020, leading a team focused on developing algorithms to enhance medical imaging. As a Scientific Consultant, Athanasios worked on technology for quantifying and simulating human physiology. Athanasios was an Assistant Professor at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology between March 2015 and February 2018, leading the Computational Prototyping Group and supervising several graduate students and postdocs. Prior academic positions include Postdoctoral Research Associate at MIT (2012-2015) and EPFL (2008-2012), as well as Graduate Research Assistant at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2004-2008). Athanasios earned a PhD and Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
