Zayra Mello

Zayra Mello has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, with a focus on project and program management. Currently, they work as a Project Manager Consultant at CORTAC Group, where they are involved in helping the Risk Management Team make an impact on the cloud operations organization. Zayra believes in building strong partnerships with colleagues and customers to find the best solutions and build trust.

Prior to their current role, Zayra worked at CWI Software from 2008 to 2017, serving as a Program Manager and Project Manager. Zayra led the development of a new process for anti-fraud and credit score check for Riachuelo, a fashion retailer, which resulted in an 80% reduction in time spent on credit assessments. Zayra managed a cross-functional team of 10 employees and ensured project scope and schedules were on track.

From 2004 to 2007, Zayra worked at CEEE as a Program Manager and Project Manager. Zayra supported internal customers in utilizing query tools for data analysis and decision-making and managed projects for the company's Legal Department.

Prior to that, Zayra worked at Infosaude from 2001 to 2004 as a System Analyst. Zayra collected requirements, wrote documents, and tracked the development of hospital management systems, particularly the Surgery Center module.

Zayra's early career included roles at Brasil Telecom as a Software Development Engineer from 2000 to 2001 and at Telemar Telecomunicações from 1998 to 2001, also as a Software Development Engineer. In these positions, they contributed to ongoing team projects, wrote scripts for database migration, and worked on the transition from a mainframe platform to a client-server model.

Zayra Mello obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Universidade Federal do Piauí, where they studied from 1994 to 1998. In addition, they have acquired the Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) certification from Scrum Alliance in May 2022, as well as the Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) certification from the same institution in April 2022.
