Erik Harks

Erik Harks is an accomplished professional in the medical affairs and clinical science fields, currently serving as the VP of Medical Affairs at Cortex EP since January 2024, after a tenure at Ablacon, Inc. in the same role from September to December 2023. Previously, Erik held the position of Principal Clinical Scientist at EPD Solutions, a Philips company, from June 2019 to September 2023, where responsibilities included managing investigator-initiated clinical studies and software validation. Erik's expertise extends to significant roles within Philips, including leadership in corporate ventures focused on cardiac ablation monitoring and intracardiac echo technologies. Erik’s academic background includes a PhD in Cell Biology from Radboud University Nijmegen and post-doctoral research at Maastricht University, complemented by a cum laude Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Technische Universiteit Eindhoven.
