Tim Dellit

Timothy Dellit, M.D., is a board-certified physician and UW professor of Medicine and Infectious Diseases. He is also UW Medicine chief medical officer and president of UW Physicians practice group.

Dr. Dellit is an expert in general infectious diseases and the prevention of healthcare-associated infections. By incorporating patients’ perspectives and goals, he strives to create an active partnership that improves patients’ care and understanding.

Dr. Dellit earned his M.D. from Cornell University Medical College. He is board-certified in both Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine. Dr. Dellit’s clinical and research interests include general infectious diseases, orthopedic trauma-related infections, prevention of healthcare-associated infections and appropriate use of antibiotics.
