Leonardo Costa Rangel

Co-CEO at Cortex

Leonardo Costa Rangel is the Co-CEO of Cortex, a position they have held since May 2012. Prior to this, they were a corporate finance committee member at Log-In Logistica from June 2010 to May 2012, advising the company's board on investment decisions, corporate performance, funding and capital structure, among other subjects. From August 2006 to July 2014, Rangel was also a part-time professor of entrepreneurial finance at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, teaching key financial issues involved in the growth of new ventures. Leonardo has also worked as a consultant at Accenture from July 2000 to December 2003 on projects such as strategic planning, IT strategy, KPIs design, process redesign, investment projects valuation and benchmarking. From January 1999 to December 2000, Rangel was the marketing research manager at Empresa Júnior PUC-Rio.

After completing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, Leonardo Costa Rangel went on to complete an MBA Exchange Program at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Leonardo then completed a Full Time MBA at COPPEAD UFRJ, before completing the Stanford Innovation and Growth Executive Program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Finally, they completed an Executive Program in Launching New Ventures at [Harvard Business School.
