Soumyajit Das

Soumyajit Das has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Soumyajit started their career as a Trainee Supervisor at DC INDUSTRIAL PLANT SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED from July 2010 to June 2011. Soumyajit then moved on to Mahindra Group, where they worked as a Production Executive from July 2011 to November 2016. During their time at Mahindra Group, they were responsible for production planning, meeting production targets, and implementing TPM to achieve the prestigious JIPM award. Following this, they joined Tetra Pak as a Production Engineer in November 2016 and worked there until September 2021. In this role, they focused on production planning, meeting production targets, problem-solving, and handling manpower. Currently, Soumyajit is employed at Cosmo Films Limited as an Assistant Manager, a position they started in October 2021. Soumyajit'sresponsibilities in this role include production, planning, and control of extrusion coated thermal films used for packaging, lamination, and labeling. Soumyajit leads a team of over forty people and is responsible for meeting production targets, minimizing waste or rejection, and preparing monthly and daily reports. Soumyajit also manages WIP and inventory with proper process flow and ensures timely delivery. Additionally, they are responsible for rejection analysis, breakdown analysis, and defect management.

Soumyajit Das completed their Diploma in Electrical Engineering at the Murshidabad Institute of Technology from 2007 to 2010. Currently, they are pursuing a PGDM (operations Management) degree with a focus on operations management at MIT SDE, which they are expected to complete between 2021 and 2023.
