Andreas Kandiros

Director, Software Unit at Cosmos Business Systems

Andreas Kandiros has extensive work experience in various managerial and technical roles. Andreas started their career in 1988 in administrative and management positions within the Supply Chain Division of the Greek Army. From 1997 to 1998, they served as the Information Technology Manager at the Greek Army Units Supply Center. Andreas then joined the Hellenic Army as a Database Administrator from 1998 to 2002, where they gained experience in data modeling, database management, and data analytics. From 2004 to 2006, they worked as a Senior Oracle Database Administrator at the IT Center of the Hellenic Army General Staff, focusing on administration, maintenance, and performance tuning of Oracle databases. Andreas later took on roles as a Project Manager in HRM System and then as the Chief Officer and Deputy Chief Officer of the MIS Office, where they were responsible for project management, staff development, and program management of the Hellenic Army's IT initiatives. In 2013, they became the Head GeoInformatics at Epsilon International SA, and in 2015, they joined Cosmos Business Systems as the Director of the Software Unit, overseeing strategic planning, team management, and software project management. In 2019, their work continued in the same role.

Andreas Kandiros has a diverse educational background. In 1988, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from Hellenic Army Academy. Following this, in 1994, they completed a Diploma of Education in Computer Programming and Systems Analysis from the School of Computer Programmers of Hellenic Army General Staff.

In 2001, Andreas pursued higher education at the National Technical University of Athens, where they studied Engineering Economics at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Andreas completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in 2003.

Continuing their education, Andreas joined the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2002 and graduated in 2004 with a Master of Science (MS) degree in Management Information Systems, specializing in the field of General Management Information Systems.

Additionally, Andreas Kandiros obtained the certification of Certified Trainer for Adults Education in Information Technology and Management from the National Organisation for the Certification of Qualifications and Vocational Guidance in June 2007.
