Caterina Carmassi is a seasoned human rights consultant currently working with COSPE Onlus since May 2019, where responsibilities include ensuring compliance with human rights standards and promoting a rights-based approach in development projects. With a legal practice as a freelance lawyer since October 2009, Caterina specializes in migration law and European and international human rights law. Previous experience includes positions at the European Asylum Support Office and the UN Migration Agency as a caseworker and regional counsellor, respectively, along with roles in research and advocacy at OXFAM Italia and Source International ONLUS. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Human Rights and Conflict Management from Scuola Superiore 'Sant' Anna' and a Master's and Bachelor's degree in law from Università di Pisa.
