Kayla Buchanan

Kayla Buchanan, CPA, has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Kayla most recently worked at Costco Travel, starting in 2015. Kayla held multiple positions, including as an Executive Accounting Team member, where they oversaw various programs and implemented process improvement measures. Kayla also gained extensive knowledge of financial statements, cost accounting, and global financial reporting. Additionally, they were involved in Toastmasters and Journeys (Women's Leadership) groups. Before their time at Costco Travel, Kayla owned their own business from 2010 to 2017. Prior to that, they worked at the University of Washington as a Finance Manager and Senior Accountant in 2015 and 2014 respectively. Kayla began their career as an Owner/Accountant at Emerald City Business Services from 2007 to 2010.

Kayla Buchanan, CPA has a comprehensive education history that includes various degrees and areas of study. In 2005, they attended Bellevue College, where they earned an Associate's degree in Business Management, Accounting, International Business & Politics, and Finance. Kayla then pursued further education at Washington State University from 2010 to 2011, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance. In 2016, they attended the University of Washington to enhance their knowledge in the field, although the specific degree earned during this period is unknown. Currently, they are enrolled in the Quantic School of Business and Technology, pursuing an Executive MBA with a field of study in Organizational Leadership, which is expected to be completed in 2024.
