Ian Palmer

Ian Palmer began their work experience as an Account/Platform Manager at TRW in July 2000. Ian then became a Business Manager, responsible for TRW Automotive braking systems business with Ford Europe, Volvo, Jaguar, and Land Rover. Ian managed commercial aspects of major accounts and developed strategies for profitable growth.

In 2008, Palmer joined HARMAN International as a Senior Account Manager, where they were responsible for infotainment, telematics, and audio systems business in the automotive sector. Ian managed all aspects of the account portfolio and developed strategies for sustainable business growth. In 2014, they were promoted to Senior Director & General Manager, leading the Harman UK team and overseeing the connected car, compute platform, audio solutions, and services business in automotive.

Currently, Palmer works as the Head of Commercial at Cosworth, starting in May 2022.

Ian Palmer attended the University of the West of England from 1992 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering with Honors in Mechanical Engineering.
