Julio Duran De La Paz has had a long and varied career in the technology and engineering fields. In 2008, they completed an Industrial Internship at Anglo American, where they coordinated orders of work in the workshop of machineries of the open mine and planned a new system of irrigation of ways to diminish the wear of tires in the trucks used in the operation of the mine. From 2009-2010, they were a Professor Assistant in Theory of Digital Systems at UTFSM, teaching theory, creating theoric homework’s to evaluate learning, and providing exercises and question solving lectures. In 2010, they were a Professor Assistant in Laboratory of Automatic Control at UTFSM. From 2011-2013, they worked at Movistar as a Project Engineer, responsible for managing the installation, servicing and commissioning of sites 2G and 3G deployment plan pertaining to 2011 and participating in the implementation and testing of new technology sites 2G/3G line 1 of the Santiago Metro. In 2012, they worked at Bechtel as a Control System Engineer, assigned to the development of detailed engineering in the Quebrada Blanca Phase 2 Project. From 2013-2015, they worked at LATAM Airlines as an IT Project Engineer, responsible for raising and analyzing business requirements to support and/or improve processes, as well as managing and monitoring related projects, ensuring their final quality. From 2015-2017, they worked at Enseña Chile as an Information Technology and Process Manager, responsible for leading the area and IT team, proposing and implementing new systems, business intelligence for key areas, continuous improvement of processes and budget management. In 2017, they were a Part-Time Teacher at Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, creating and teaching the course “Design of Solutions for Social Problems” for the students of Industrial Civil Engineering of the Vitacura Campus. Since 2019, they have been the Consulting Services Director at Cotalker, leading the cell of consulting services for enterprise clients, managing the development of the project from pre-sale, refining requirements, development and go live, and responsible for a team of 6 people, under agile and traditional methodologies.

Julio Duran De La Paz obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering, with major in Telecommunications from Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria between 2005 and 2011. Julio then obtained a Diploma in Project Management and Evaluation from Universidad de Chile between 2015 and 2016. In 2020, they obtained a Fundamentos de la gestión de proyectos ágil certification from LinkedIn and a Scrum Foundation Professional Certificate from CertiProf.
