Neill Phelps

Neill Phelps has over 15 years of experience in sports and recreation ministry, currently serving as the Associate Minister of Sports and Recreation at Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church since June 2008. In this role, Neill is responsible for launching and managing youth and adult sports programs, overseeing a player registration process that accommodates 200-600 participants. Neill previously held the position of Sports Intern, supporting the Sports Minister by engaging with parents and children involved in Upwards sports. Earlier experience includes serving as a Recreation Assistant at the First Baptist Tyler Recreation Center, where responsibilities included checking in members and maintaining clean facilities. Neill holds a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Studies from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and a B.A. in Sports Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology from Dallas Baptist University, along with an Honors Diploma from Robert E. Lee Senior High School.
